My friend's balcony in Chicago changed how I see composting

I saw her worm bin and thought it was just a gross box of dirt. Then she showed me how the worms ate a whole head of lettuce in two days, no smell at all. Anyone in a studio have a good spot for a worm farm that isn't the closet?

My old apartment in Logan Square had a tiny kitchen. I kept my worm bin under the sink, right next to the trash can. It sounds weird, but it worked perfectly. The key is a tight lid and not overfeeding them. You really don't need much space at all.
