My freezer bin experiment backfired big time in August
I tried keeping my compost scraps in a small freezer bin to cut down on smells, but forgot about it for like 10 days during a heatwave. When I finally opened it, the whole thing was a slushy mess and the bag ripped, dumping coffee grounds and apple cores all over my mini fridge. Lesson learned: freeze your scraps in portioned bags with a tight knot, not a loose bin, and set a reminder to dump every 5 days max. Anyone else deal with a frozen compost disaster and find a better container setup?

Ha! My buddy's cat knocked his over and he found coffee grounds on the ceiling. Never again.
