PSA: I used to watch anime with my phone out and now I keep it in another room

For years, I'd watch a new episode while scrolling through forums or checking scores, basically splitting my focus. I realized I was missing a ton of details and emotional beats, especially in shows like 'Frieren' where the quiet moments matter. About six months ago, I started putting my phone in the kitchen before I hit play. The difference is huge, lmao. I catch way more background art and actually feel the pacing instead of just following the plot. Has anyone else tried a hard rule like this to get more out of their watch time?
