DAE get weirdly emotional when a show you've been watching for years just... ends?

I finished the final episode of a series I started back in high school last night, and now my whole Tuesday evening routine feels empty without it.

That empty Tuesday evening feeling is real. My friend Mark finished a long running sci-fi show last month and said the same thing. He told me he actually felt a bit silly, but he'd made a whole ritual of it for years, right down to his snack choice. For a few weeks after, he said he'd just sit there at 8 PM on his couch, not sure what to do with his hands. It's like losing a little piece of your normal life, even if it's just a TV show.
