The darkroom timer app replaced my physical one, but I still miss the click

I used to rely on that old mechanical timer with the loud tick for dodging and burning, counting in my head during dodges at the enlarger. Now I use a phone app (the free one, nothing fancy) and it's way more precise, no question. But has anyone else noticed they lose their rhythm when the ticking sound is gone, or is that just me being nostalgic about a 20 dollar timer?

My buddy Karl over at the community darkroom ditched his old Gra-Lab last month for the same app, and he said he kept screwing up his burn times because his brain was waiting for the tick before he started counting. He tried setting the phone to vibrate on a chair next to him, and honestly that kinda worked until it slid off and clattered across the floor mid-print.
