Showerthought: shot the same roll of Portra 400 at box speed and pushed to 800, and the pushed roll won hands down

Did it for a buddy's indoor birthday party in Kansas City last month, and the pushed shots kept way more shadow detail than the box speed ones that looked muddy and flat under the string lights, so now I'm wondering if anyone else just pushes everything indoors instead of reaching for a faster film.
