The patient who corrected my pronunciation of 'stethoscope' for 4 minutes straight

Had a guy in his 70s come in for a blood pressure check last Tuesday, and he INSISTED I was saying 'steth-o-scope' wrong because his old doctor in Scranton said 'steth-uh-scope' with a hard A. We went back and forth while I tried to wrap the cuff around his arm, and he actually pulled out his phone to look up the dictionary audio. Took a full 4 minutes of him replaying it at full volume in the waiting room before he admitted I was right. Has anyone else had a patient just not let go of a tiny thing like that during a routine visit?
