Update on my decision to run Cat6 for a client's new camera system instead of using their existing coax
It added a full day to the install in their Chicago brownstone, but the picture quality and future-proofing were worth it. Anyone have a favorite low-voltage bit for drilling through old brick like that?

Sounds like a lot of work for a camera feed.

Well it's not just a camera feed though. It's the whole security system, the recording setup, and making sure it works all the time. You're paying for the peace of mind that comes with it being done right. A DIY setup can fail at the worst moment and then you're stuck. What happens if your own system goes down during a break-in?
