Rant: Staple guns beat wire clips any day

Ngl, I've been using a staple gun for low voltage wires for ages. It's quicker and holds better in my experience, but the other techs call me reckless. Do you guys ever use staples or am I alone here?

Pfft, reckless. They'd call me a staple heretic if they saw my work. I get the worry about nicking a wire, but honestly, my old gun is way faster than fiddling with those clips, and it never pops loose. Sure, you split some trim every now and then, but that's my own clumsy fault. The real danger is just getting lazy and not paying attention. If it works for you, go for it.

Speed isn't everything if you're risking damage every time. Those clips exist for a reason.
