Panel went into alarm at 2am on a Tuesday, and the homeowner's dog was the culprit
I was finishing up a 12-zone install in Bakersfield last month when the homeowner called me at 2am saying her keypad was beeping and she couldn't disarm it. Turned out her lab had knocked a motion sensor off the bracket in the hallway, and the tamper switch was tripping every time the poor thing walked past it. Has anyone else had a pet set off a tamper on a sensor that was mounted too low, and do you just remount higher or swap to a pet-immune model?
Ha, I used to roll my eyes at pet immune sensors and thought remounting was always the fix. Then a golden retriever proved me wrong and I've been team pet immune ever since.
