Chose hardwired over wireless sensors for a 1920s house in Salem, kind of regretting it
I had to pick between running wire through plaster and lath or going with wireless sensors in a 1920s house in Salem, and I picked hardwired because the homeowner wanted zero battery changes. Three weeks later I'm still fishing cable through walls and I've found two nests of old knob and tube that scared the hell out of me. Does anyone have a trick for getting through that old rock lath without blowing out the whole wall?
