A customer in Springfield changed my mind about glass break sensors
I was setting up a system for Mrs. Carter last month and told her glass breaks were overkill for her ground floor. She pointed at her big bay window and said, 'My grandson's baseball went through that last summer, and the alarm never made a peep.' I realized a basic contact sensor wouldn't catch that kind of break. Who else has a story that made you add a sensor you initially skipped?

Wait, they cut a circle in the glass and just reached in?

I installed a glass break sensor for a client in Oakwood after their neighbor had a break in. The thief just cut a small circle in the living room window pane and reached right in, never opening the frame. That contact sensor on the window was useless. It taught me that if someone really wants in, they won't always force the whole window open. Now I always suggest them for any room with big windows, ground floor or not.
