Serious question, are we tracking all our chemical waste properly?
In my experience, slips here can mean big fines and harm.

How often do you think the rules get bent because proper tracking feels like a pain? I see this same shortcut mindset with people dumping old paint or cleaner down the drain at home. If we don't take it seriously on a small scale, why would big companies act any different? It feels like a system problem where convenience always wins until something goes really wrong.

Shortcuts become the norm because following rules feels like wasted effort. Companies see individuals cutting corners and use that to justify their own lazy practices. Our system is built around quick fixes, not long term solutions. We only care after damage is done. Without real consequences, this cycle won't break.

Honestly used to think it was just laziness... but seeing how normal it is to pour stuff down the drain really shows it's a bigger habit. That small stuff adds up and makes it easy for companies to say "well everyone does it." Now it just feels like the whole setup needs to change, because you're right, convenience wins every time until the mess is too big to ignore.
