Rant: Borescope images finally made me trust the oil analysis report

My engine shop in Tulsa kept saying we had a bearing issue from the oil sample, but the numbers looked borderline to me so I ignored it for two jobs, then the teardown showed scoring on three mains and now I'm wondering how many other pilots are flying on luck instead of looking at the actual metal.
