My close call with a composite wing delamination

Yikes! That's scary how easy it is to miss those tiny cracks. Composite stuff can hide damage really well until it's too late. I always double check with a magnifier now after a similar scare. It's just not worth risking it when a small crack can turn into a big problem fast. Glad you caught it in time!

Man, your comment about the magnifier just reminded me of when I almost rode my bike with a hairline crack in the frame. I was doing a quick clean and totally missed it. My buddy spotted it later when we were about to head out on a long trail. It was right near the weld, super hard to see without good light. That could have ended really badly on a bumpy descent. It just shows how easy it is to overlook something tiny when you're not looking for it. Now I do a full check with a bright light before every big ride.

Wow, that's a terrifying spot for a crack to hide! @thomas115 is totally right about how these things can sneak by until it's too late. Really makes you respect the pre-ride check with good light.
