Just realized skipping torque checks on engine mounts is asking for trouble

I used to rely on feel when tightening engine mount bolts. After seeing one shake loose on a recent inspection, I changed my tune. Now I torque every bolt to spec without exception. It's a small step that prevents big failures. Trust me, it's worth the extra time.

Speaking of which, my friend Jake thought he could just 'feel' the tightness on his truck's mounts. He ended up with a SHOCKING vibration that cracked his exhaust manifold. @noah_barnes is right, that one minute with a torque wrench saves so much pain. Jake spent a whole weekend fixing what could have been avoided. Now he torques EVERYTHING, no exceptions.

Yeah you really can't skip that step. People think it's fine to guess but those specs exist for a reason. A loose mount is way more work to fix than just doing it right the first time. It's so easy to just grab the torque wrench, even when you're in a hurry. That one extra minute saves you from a huge headache later. Totally worth it every single time.

My Civic's weird vibration came from guessing mount torque.
