TIL my air fryer hit 500 uses and I didn't even know it could count
I was cleaning out the crumb tray yesterday and noticed a tiny '500' on the little digital screen. I guess my unit tracks cycles, which is a feature I never knew about. It made me stop and think about all the stuff I've cooked in there since I got it two years ago. That's a lot of chicken wings, frozen veggies, and reheated pizza. The funny thing is, I almost sent it back when I first bought it because I thought it was just a small oven. Now I use it almost every day. Has anyone else found a hidden feature on their air fryer that surprised them?

My buddy found a secret timer on his for proofing bread dough. He was just messing with the buttons one day and it popped up. Blew his mind.

Honestly that's a cool find, but I think @the_sage's friend might be mixing up features. Most air fryers just have basic timers and temp controls. Still, it's wild what hidden stuff these things have after 500 uses.

Yeah the "hidden stuff after 500 uses" thing is so real. It's like every gadget has a secret life the manual never tells you about. My old microwave had a weird button combo that changed the beep sound. Makes you wonder what else we're all missing because we just use the basic functions.
