Air fryer basket collapsed mid-cook during a party, had to improvise

Hosted a small get-together last Friday and was making a batch of wings for 8 people. About 12 minutes in, the basket handle snapped right off the frame and the whole thing tipped forward, dumping half the wings onto the heating element. Smoke everywhere, guests in the kitchen watching me poke at it with tongs. I ended up transferring the rest to a sheet pan and finishing in the oven at 425 for 20 minutes, which actually worked fine. Anyone else had a basket fail on them mid-recipe, and did you find a replacement that fits right or just switch to a different brand?

Whoa, that sounds like a total nightmare! I used to think those baskets were basically indestructible, but after seeing my buddy's fail the same way during a game day cookout, I've totally changed my tune. Paper trays and a good sheet pan are honestly the way to go now for big batches, and they're way easier to clean up too.
