Got me thinking about my nephew's music choices. He plays the same three songs on repeat for weeks, then switches to a new set. Makes you realize how strong those patterns are, even without algorithms pushing them.

My son watched that excavator video 47 times last week... seeing those loops really shows how our own habits feed the algorithms.

Oh totally, it's wild how we do this to ourselves even without an algorithm's help. I've had the same comfort show on in the background for months, just looping seasons over and over. The data that must be creating is kind of embarrassing when you think about it. We're basically training the system by being total creatures of habit, and then it just gives us more of the same. I guess it proves we really do know what we like, even if it's the same thing a hundred times in a row.
