Client told me my AI emails were too robotic
They said my personalized subject lines sounded like a bot wrote them, so I started adding a random typo in every third email and open rates jumped 15% in two weeks.

The typo trick is honestly genius (I've done something similar with misspelling names on purpose). But I'd take it a step further and randomize the greeting too, like "hey" vs "hi" vs just starting with their first name. Another thing that worked for me was breaking up the structure completely, like one sentence bullets instead of full paragraphs. And throw in a really casual line like "p.s. ignore my typos, I'm typing this while walking my dog" which makes it feel 100% more human. The key is making each email feel slightly different from the last one, even if it's just the spacing or punctuation choices.

It's wild how much we're all just trying to fake being human now, right? Like even in real life people are doing the same thing with their voicemails or text messages - adding little mistakes to seem less perfect. Makes you wonder if we're all just bots pretending to be people at this point.
