Pro tip: the $12 AI voice cleaner I bought for podcast edits rescued 40 minutes of my kid's birthday audio
I do a tiny podcast with two buddies, nothing big, maybe 60 downloads an episode, and last month we recorded at my place in Sacramento while my daughter's birthday party was going on downstairs. The audio came back with a blender, 9 screaming kids, and a door slamming every 30 seconds. I almost deleted the files. Instead I paid $12 for a month of an online noise cleanup tool, loaded the worst clip in, and it pulled out the blender and most of the yelling while keeping all three of our voices clear. I sat there with headphones on and honestly laughed out loud when it worked. My buddy says it sounds a little thin on the low end now, and he may be onto something. Still, going from trash to usable for twelve bucks is the best money I have spent on this hobby. Curious if anyone here has compared the cheap cleanup tools to the $30 a month ones, because I do not want to keep paying yearly if the cheap one is close enough.
