Appreciation post: My AI image generator hit 10,000 unique prompts this morning.

I was cleaning up my project folder and saw the prompt log, and it really hit me how far these tools have come from just making weird blobs a couple years ago.

Honestly, I used to agree with that take. Then I sorted my own prompt folder by date and scrolled from the start. Seeing those first muddy faces from 2022 next to what it makes now, the jump is wild. It's not just cleaner pictures, it's getting better at following weird, specific ideas.

It's impressive, but the sheer volume makes me wonder about quality. A lot of generated images still feel hollow and samey. The tech is amazing, but it hasn't quite captured a real spark yet.
