So I was watching those satisfying sand cutting videos and it hit me, I actually prefer when the tool slips a little. Makes it feel real, you know? Everyone says that ruins it.

Agree so hard with this. I watched one last week where the cutter hit a tough spot and shuddered, making this cool wavy pattern instead of a straight line. That little mistake gave the whole video way more character and made it stick in my head. The perfect cuts just blend together after a while and feel sort of empty. I always find myself rooting for a small slip or a surprise in the sand now.

Totally get that, it's way more interesting when it's not perfect. I was watching one last night where the cutter jumped and left this weird little ridge, made the whole thing better. The flawless ones almost feel fake after a while.

Seriously! Flaws tell the story. I see stuff in my line of work all the time. A grout line in tile that's a tiny bit off, or a trim joint that doesn't match perfect. It shows it was done by a person, not a machine. That little ridge from a jumping cutter is the same thing. It's proof of life.
