I had a moral wake-up call after promoting a remote island

Last summer, I found this amazing island off the coast. It was empty and perfect. I put pictures on social media, and friends started asking for directions. Now, it's getting crowded, and the trash is piling up. I wonder if I did the right thing by sharing it.

Sharing beautiful places isn't the real problem. The issue is people who visit and don't clean up after themselves. You found a spot, but others chose to trash it.

When @the_cole points out the cleanup issue... it's worth thinking about why some spots get overwhelmed so fast. Sharing might bring folks who mean well, but there's just too many to keep things tidy. So the damage happens even if most try to be careful, which is kinda sad.
