I finally made a habit of checking water temperature before shampooing

Clients love the comfortable wash and my scalp irritation complaints dropped to zero.

Totally get that, I used to just crank the heat up because it felt nice in the moment. My scalp was always dry and itchy until I forced myself to use lukewarm water. It felt weird at first but the difference was huge after just a couple weeks, way less flaking. What temperature do you find works best?

Ugh, I learned this the HARD way! My test is the inside of my wrist, if it feels hot there it's too hot for my scalp. I aim for barely warm, like baby bottle temp. My hair is SO much less frizzy now.

Switched to cooler water last year after my ends got super brittle. I keep it just warm enough to not feel cold, like a mild summer day kind of temperature. My hair air-dries way faster now and looks shinier, plus my scalp doesn't get that tight, angry feeling. Sticking with it was the key for me too!
