A haircut in Lisbon made me rethink dry cutting

I was against dry cutting because I thought it damaged hair. Seeing how smoothly a barber there did it changed my mind. What travel experiences have changed your techniques?

Have you ever watched a traveling barber work? I saw one in Seoul do a dry cut on textured hair that looked amazing, but my own fine hair gets butchered that way. It really seems to depend on the person doing it and the hair they're working with.

One good cut doesn't mean it's safe for all hair, right?

Honestly, what if it's more about the barber's skill than the tool? A great one can make any method work, but a bad one will mess it up no matter what.
