Spent $300 on a course about getting clients and I'm not sure it was worth it
I mean, I was really stuck last month. I had no new work lined up and was getting worried. So I paid for this online course from a guy who said he could show me how to find clients fast. It was a bunch of videos and a few templates. The main thing he pushed was sending a lot of cold emails, like 50 a day. I tried it for two weeks straight, following his exact script. I got maybe two replies, and both were just 'no thanks.' On one hand, maybe I just need to keep at it longer, and the templates do save me some time. On the other hand, it feels like I paid for pretty basic advice I could have found for free, and it didn't really fit how I like to work. Has anyone else had a course or a paid thing that either really helped or just felt like a waste of money?
