PSA: My blue ink turned green after I added a drop of dish soap

I was trying to make a standard blue ink flow a bit better in a dry pen, so I added a tiny drop of clear dish soap to a 5ml sample. Instead of just flowing better, the whole color shifted to a teal green over the next day. I learned that even a small amount of soap can change the ink's pH and mess with the dyes. Has anyone else seen a color change from adding a surfactant?

Yeah, that tracks. I once tried to "fix" a pen by putting hand sanitizer in it. Let's just say it did not go well. So, dish soap turning ink green is a new one for me.

It's more likely the soap broke the ink's suspension, not just the pH.
