I just hit 100 fabric swatches in my idea book for a single project

It started as a simple jacket sketch, but now I'm obsessed with finding the perfect texture mix. Has anyone else gotten this deep into material research for one piece?

Oh totally, I once spent three weeks just on pocket linings for a pair of pants. I had like twenty different silk samples pinned to my wall, trying to find the exact shade of burgundy that felt "right". It's a rabbit hole for sure.

Three weeks on pocket linings sounds about right for a sewing project. I guess if the inside of your pants isn't perfect, what's even the point? That burgundy silk hunt is a special kind of madness.
