Overheard a guy at the swap meet say 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' about a flickering monitor

He was about to toss a decent Dell Ultrasharp because of a bad capacitor, which is a 10 minute job. Anyone else get frustrated when people just replace instead of repair?

Honestly, good for him. Most people don't have the time, tools, or skill to safely mess with a monitor's internals. It's smarter to just replace it and move on with your life.

Totally agree, it's just not worth the risk. Tried fixing a power supply once and nearly fried the whole board. Sometimes a new monitor is the only real fix.
