My buddy did something similar last month, left off weld symbols entirely. His fix was taping a sticky note to his monitor with the basic symbols listed.

Honestly, did the sticky note actually help or did it just become wallpaper? Tbh, I'd probably miss it and still mess up the symbols.

Thought checklists were useless, but @ninar51's story about weld symbols made me see their value.
