Tried dollar store foam board vs cardboard for desk organizer - clear winner

I was making a little desk organizer for my screws and stuff. Dollar store foam board was way easier to cut clean with a box cutter than cardboard that kept bending. The foam board also held its shape after I glued it, no sagging. Cost me $1.25 a sheet. Has anyone else used this for small projects?

I've tried both and the foam board wins for cutting, but you missed a big downside. Foam board dents real easy if you bump into it. One wrong nudge with a screwdriver and you've got a permanent crater. Cardboard might sag over time but at least it can take a hit. I glued some felt on the inside of my foam organizer to stop the dents, works way better now.
