My uncle's grinder advice ended up costing me 40 bucks and a week of bitter shots
My uncle swore I could use my old blade grinder for espresso if I just pulsed it 10 times and shook the cup between each burst. Tried that for 7 days straight in my kitchen in Denver, and every single shot came out sour or harsh, no middle ground. Finally borrowed a friend's hand grinder for 15 dollars at a pawn shop, and the difference was night and day. Has anyone else wasted time on a hack that some relative swore was the secret to cheap espresso?
