Hot take: Stop paying $40 for a dosing funnel when a yogurt cup works just as well

I cut the bottom off a plain Fage yogurt cup six months ago and it has been my daily dosing funnel ever since. It fits my 58mm portafilter perfectly and the static is actually less than the cheap metal ones I tried. Has anyone else found a kitchen item that replaced something way overpriced in your setup?

idk man its a yogurt cup. like congrats on saving money but is it really that deep. plastic cup vs metal funnel who cares as long as coffee comes out fine. people act like this is some huge life hack when really its just cutting up trash. not saying its bad but maybe we dont need a whole post about it.

Yeah I get where you're coming from but honestly that little hack saved my butt last week when I realized my pour over funnel was missing. Didn't have to buy anything new just grabbed a clean yogurt cup from recycling and it worked fine. Sometimes the simple stuff just works without making it a whole thing.
