Just spent $25 on a set of security bits and it saved my PS4

My PS4 was overheating and I knew I had to clean the fan, but I couldn't get the case open. The screws were those weird star shapes with a pin in the middle. I went to the hardware store and got a set of security bits for about 25 bucks. Popped the right one in my screwdriver and the whole thing came apart in minutes. Has anyone else run into this with newer consoles? What tools do you keep on hand?

Oh man, absolutely! I did the exact same thing with my PS4 last year. Honestly, I was so mad at those little security screws, I almost broke the plastic trying to pry it. Grabbing that bit set felt like finding a secret key. Tbh, I use those bits all the time now for random electronics around the house. It's crazy how many things use those weird heads now.

Remember when they started putting those on battery covers for toys? I tried to change the batteries in my nephew's remote control car with a butter knife and totally stripped the head. Had to order the exact security bit online and wait three days just for two AA batteries.
