Warning: My own lawyer almost cost me my hearing, hired a specialist instead
I spent 8 months with a general lawyer who kept missing deadlines and lost my medical records twice. He never even looked at my functional capacity report from my doctor in Fresno. Switched to a firm that only does disability claims, they had my hearing rescheduled and prepped in 6 weeks. The difference was night and day on how they broke down the vocational expert questions. Anyone else almost get burned by a general practice attorney before finding someone who actually knows this system?
