Denied twice for sleep apnea, then a 3 page letter from my neurologist fixed it

After my second denial last spring, I was ready to give up. The judge said my sleep study results were not severe enough, even though I showed 34 events per hour. My neurologist in Fresno wrote a detailed 3 page letter explaining how the daytime fatigue affects my job as a school bus driver. It took 6 months, but the third hearing approved me with back pay. Has anyone else had success by getting a specialist to spell out the exact work limitations, not just the medical diagnosis?
