Why I think the "post every day" advice is hurting small business accounts
Last week I was on a call with a bakery owner in Cleveland who told me her old agency made her post on Instagram 3 times a day for 8 months, and she said the whole thing felt like shouting into a closet. Her follower count grew by maybe 200, but her walk in traffic from social was almost nothing, and she was paying them $1,500 a month for it. I told her flat out that I think daily posting is bad advice for most small businesses, and she pushed back hard at first because every guru online says the same thing. Here is my take: one good post a week with a real offer beats 20 posts that just say good morning. I showed her a competitor in Lakewood who posts twice a week and gets actual catering orders from it. I get that people want to grow fast, but growing a dead audience does nothing for a business that needs sales. Anybody here actually tested a low volume schedule and seen it work better than the daily grind?
