Took me 4 hours to realize my color profiles were double stacking
I spent all morning tweaking my digital painting on a new monitor, only to find out my old calibration file was still running behind my new one. The colors looked fine but exports came out muddy every single time. Anyone else waste a whole session on a silly settings mistake like that?

No way. 4 hours? That's brutal. I did something similar with my old DSLR once. Had a custom white balance locked in from a tungsten lit room. Spent an entire Saturday shooting outdoor stuff and couldn't figure out why everything looked like a bad filter.

Yeah, I read a photography blog post that said white balance mistakes ruin more shots than exposure errors.

Exposure matters more to me honestly.
