Spent 8 hours on a 'simple' fuel line air leak on a Detroit 60 series
The truck was losing power uphill, and I figured it was a quick fix. Turns out the air leak was in a tiny crack on the hard line behind the fuel filter housing, a spot you can't see without pulling the whole bracket. I had to pull the filter assembly, make a new line, and bleed the system twice. Anyone else had a 'five minute' job turn into a full day on these engines?

Honestly, that sounds like a pretty standard repair time for that issue.
