Downtown Omaha job taught me to always pull the oil sample first
Last month I was doing a fleet service for a bakery on 16th Street and the DT466 had a knock I figured was just an injector. Pulled the sample before tearing anything down and it came back with coolant in the oil, ended up being a cracked liner. That test cost me $35 and saved a full weekend of guessing. Anyone else trust the lab results over a stethoscope when the noise is that obvious?
