Spent $64 on a coupon app subscription and it saved me $11 in 5 months
I signed up for one of those grocery coupon apps back in March. The pitch was huge savings every week, so I paid $64 for the yearly plan. Five months later I added up every discount it actually gave me at checkout. $11. The app kept showing me deals for stuff I never buy, like vegan yogurt and fancy sparkling water. I was spending 10 minutes a trip scrolling for coupons that didn't apply to anything in my cart. Cancelled it and now I just check the store's own weekly flyer on the way in. Anyone got an app that actually matches deals to what you normally buy?
