I used to skip past those old CIA world maps at estate sales because I figured they were all the same, then last month in Seattle I paid $3 for one from 1989 and spotted the label "Peking" with a 1960s border running through Mongolia, which sent me digging for two hours. Now I grab every Cold War era map I see, even the beat up ones. What's the most outdated country name you've found on a map printed after 1980?
