My password manager export broke everything, recovery mode saved me

Ngl, I tried switching from Bitwarden to another manager last month and the CSV export mangled all my special characters. Logged into my old vault after a panic and exported with the JSON format instead, fixed it in 20 minutes. Anyone else had export format issues when migrating?

...and honestly that tracks with so much of my life lately. It feels like every time I try to move something from one app to another, the export or import step is where everything falls apart. I swear, it's like the people who build these tools test them on perfect data sets with no weird symbols or accents, and then the rest of us show up with our real-world mess. The recovery mode thing is exactly why I always keep the old version running for at least a week after switching, just as a safety net. My rule now is to never delete the source until the new thing has been working for a few days, because you always find one broken piece later. It's annoying extra work, but it beats a full panic reset at 2am.
