Switched from foam to tape mod after a noisy Saturday build

I used to layer 3mm foam in every case I built, but last weekend I swapped to the tape mod on my new board with Gateron blacks. The difference in sound is wild, the clack got tighter and the case ping completely disappeared. It took me maybe 20 minutes with some masking tape I had in the garage, way cheaper than cutting foam sheets. Has anyone else made the switch and gone back to foam, or is tape the permanent answer for you too?
