My basement leak fix turned into a corporate legal battle

I paid a big contractor to repair a serious water issue, and their work failed within weeks. Now I'm stuck in a lawsuit where their lawyers keep asking for extensions and more documents. It's been six months, and all I hear is how complex corporate litigation is, while my basement still smells like mold. This whole process makes me wish I just handled it myself, even if it meant getting my hands dirty.

Is the legal battle really necessary over some mold and water?

See this everywhere, @seananderson. People let small problems slide (like a leaky faucet) until they turn into floods or health risks. Sometimes you gotta push back hard just to be heard.

Totally get that, @seananderson. My old apartment had a tiny drip I ignored for months. Ended up with a ceiling stain that looked like a sad ghost. Landlord finally listened after I sent a pic with the caption "my new roommate.
