Just realized I was recording in mono this whole time, 14 shows wasted

I was at a Built to Spill show in Portland last March, holding my phone up like always, when this guy next to me asked why my waveform was flat on one side. I checked my settings and sure enough, the voice memo app had been set to mono since I got the thing in 2021. All those bass-heavy club gigs I traded to people sound like they came from a tin can. Has anyone else had this kind of setup screw-up ruin a bunch of recordings, or am I the only one who never checked the defaults?
