Update: A client's dusty office in Tacoma changed how I clean old computers
I was fixing a slow desktop for a small business there, and the inside was packed with dust. I used my usual compressed air can, but it just blew the dust around the room and made a huge mess. The owner coughed and said, 'Can't you just take it outside?' So I did, and used a small vacuum with a brush attachment instead. It was way cleaner and faster. Do you have a better method for cleaning out really dirty systems without making a cloud?

Wait, you used the air can inside first? That's wild (and honestly, kind of funny in a messy way). Taking it outside was a total game changer, good call.

I mean, it's just compressed air, right? Calling it "wild" feels like a lot. It's not like it's toxic or anything, it just makes a mess. Maybe it's just me but I've done it inside a bunch and it's fine if you're careful. Taking it outside is smarter, sure, but I don't think the inside move is that crazy.
