A shop in Bakersfield handed me a dead Optiplex last Tuesday and the fix was one jumper pin
The board had a clear CMOS jumper in the wrong spot from the factory, sitting there for probably 8 years, and the machine would not post until I moved it over. Any of you keep a log of weird factory goofs like this, or is it just me writing it on the back of a receipt?

Clear CMOS jumper in the wrong spot from the factory" is a new one for me. I just scribble stuff like that on a sticky note and lose it a week later.
