A barista in Portland poured my cold brew through a paper filter and I finally get why mine tastes muddy
Was at a spot on Alberta St in Portland a couple months ago and watched the guy finish every batch by running it through a paper filter before it hit the keg. I had been drinking gritty, muddy cold brew for like 2 years and just thought that was normal. Tried it at home with a cheap Melitta cone and the difference is night and day, way cleaner and the fruit notes actually come through. Anyone else filtering after the steep, or am I late to the party here?
